Ohio State University Sports Medicine is pleased to offer a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer position in conjunction with our accredited graduate athletic training education program. This position provides an exceptional foundation for early-career athletic trainers looking to develop clinical skills while completing graduate coursework.
Graduate assistants provide clinical athletic training services under the supervision of BOC-certified staff; gain experience in injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries; assist with game and practice coverage; participate in continuing education seminars and case presentations; contribute to research projects as interest and opportunity allow; and complete all requirements of the graduate academic program.
This is a two-year appointment with tuition waiver and a monthly stipend. Graduate assistants work approximately 20-25 hours per week in clinical settings. Applications from students accepted into affiliated graduate programs are strongly preferred. This position is ideal for new graduates committed to clinical excellence and lifelong learning in athletic training.
