Effective March 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how the National Athletic Trainers' Association ("NATA") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use the NATA Career Center.
We collect information you provide directly when creating an account, including your name, email address, and professional credentials. Job seekers may upload resumes containing employment history, education, certifications, and contact details. Employers provide company information, job posting content, and billing details. We also automatically collect usage data such as pages visited, search queries, IP address, browser type, and device information through cookies and similar technologies.
Your information is used to operate and improve the NATA Career Center, including matching job seekers with relevant positions, enabling employers to reach qualified candidates, processing payments for job posting packages, sending job alerts and platform notifications, generating anonymized analytics and platform statistics, and ensuring the security and integrity of our platform.
Account data is retained while your account is active and for two years after account deletion to comply with legal obligations. Resumes are stored while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Job postings remain visible until expiration and are archived for one year after expiry. Payment and billing records are retained for seven years as required by tax and financial regulations. You may request early deletion of your data by contacting us.
You have the right to access and receive a copy of your personal data, correct inaccurate or incomplete information, request deletion of your account and associated data, export your data in a portable format, opt out of marketing communications at any time, and withdraw consent for optional data processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@nata.org or use the account settings in your dashboard.
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and United Kingdom, we process your data under the following legal bases: contract performance (providing the job board service), legitimate interests (platform security, fraud prevention, service improvement), consent (analytics cookies, marketing emails), and legal obligations (tax records, compliance reporting). Data may be transferred to the United States where our servers are located, protected by Standard Contractual Clauses. Our Data Protection Officer can be reached at privacy@nata.org.
The NATA Career Center is designed for professional use and is not directed at individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately at privacy@nata.org and we will promptly delete such information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
