U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center seeks an accomplished Director of Sports Medicine to provide strategic leadership for all aspects of our sports medicine program in Colorado Springs, CO. The Director will be responsible for program vision, staff oversight, policy development, budget management, and maintaining the highest standards of athlete care.
Key responsibilities include providing visionary leadership to a team of athletic trainers, physical therapists, and support staff; developing and implementing comprehensive sports medicine policies and procedures; serving as the primary institutional contact for sports medicine medical oversight; managing departmental budgets and resources effectively; ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, state, and institutional regulations; fostering relationships with referring physicians and community healthcare providers; driving innovation in injury prevention, performance science, and rehabilitation; and representing sports medicine interests in institutional strategic planning.
A master's degree in athletic training, sports medicine, or a related field is required; doctoral preparation preferred. A minimum of 10 years of progressive sports medicine experience including supervisory responsibility is required. BOC certification and state licensure required.
