Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute is seeking a Sports Performance Specialist to work with our athletes on speed, power, agility, and overall physical preparation. This role works at the intersection of sports performance and sports medicine, collaborating closely with athletic trainers and coaches to build durable, high-performing athletes.
The Sports Performance Specialist will design and implement athlete-specific performance training programs; conduct movement quality assessments and functional testing to identify performance limiters; integrate sports science data (GPS, force plates, HRV) into training decisions; collaborate with athletic trainers on injury prevention programming and return-to-performance progressions; educate athletes on training principles, recovery strategies, and lifestyle factors affecting performance; maintain detailed training records; and contribute to the development of a high-performance culture.
CSCS, NSCA-CPT, or equivalent certification required. Experience with performance monitoring technology preferred. This position requires strong communication, critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
